Post 1: Design Research

This blog post outlines my design thinking and the research i conducted to get to this stage. The research i have done has helped with the development of my Amplify Music Festival app.

I want it to be informative but not full of text which could confuse the user and give them a negative experience. My approach to creating Amplify Music Fest was user needs and problems they could face which i wanted to avoid in my design.

User Needs

This outlines my users needs and what I would need to include to make the app easy to navigate through.

I created a moodboard including a colour palette which i want to incorporate into the app as i feel the colours would feel more fun and look visually appealing. I want the app to feel upbeat with the type of images and colours used to add to the user experience.

Colour Palette

This is a colour palette I created which has a very indie feel to it, I want to include these colours within the app subtly so that there’s not to many bright colours which could make the app distracting and overwhelming.
